It started as a tiny "nick" on his tail and over the past 2 weeks or so it's gotten worse and now it's about to fall off! Any thoughts on what's happening? Is this normal? It doesn't appear to be "affecting" his mood. His eyes look clear, he's eating normally and still active. I'm concerned however!

Babt fire bellies V's Adult fire bellies

i have quite a few baby fire bellied toads thanks to a nice suprise earlier this year left by my adult toads. The thing is that they are getting too big for their baby housing but didn't know if they could be re-homed with their parents until they are big enough to find new owners. i know they produce a nasty tasting slime but do the adult toads care? i have read several care sheets and have yet to find anything on this subject.

Please help

Fire bellied toad ..... The garden is planted in an old kiddie wading pool, and surrounded by chicken wire, so I think it's fairly safe from predators. But I am worried about it - it seems thinner today than the day I first found it - on Sept. 10 (my birthday! what a lovely gift )

here are some pics - they are blurry (sorry!) but you get the idea:

I didn't know what kind it was, so I did some research on it (web), and identified it as a Red Spotted Eft. I did not really find out the other things I wanted to know - which is what, if anything, I can do to help this little darling survive. I know nothing about salamanders, except they are semiaquatic. We don't live *on* a river, but do live near one & it is pretty damp here. I live in Maine, so it will be cooling off soon, and I am worried. And what does it eat? I assumed it eats veggies, since it's in the garden. I left out a piece of tomato & one of yellow summer squash. There is parsley growing too. I don't use pesticides, so there should be bugs there to eat. I put out a small broken clay pot for it to hide in if it likes. It has traveled about quite a lot - I find it under the parsley one day, under a downed green tom the next, etc.

I dread the though of finding it dead for lack of food or water.....any advice would be appreciated! My chameleon has had a crooked tail since we got him 5 months ago, and now its getting worse. Does this have something to do with calcium absorbtion? What can i do to correct this problem before he becomes paralized in the tail?

Help I think my newt broke its jaw

So I have a fire bellied newt and i hadn't had the time to go hunting for worms for him so he was looking rather slim, anyways I grabbed the first worm i could find (rather large one) and chopped it up and fed it to him. Apparently the worm was too big..his jaw now has an awkward swollen bump on the side and I am not sure if is it broken or not. And now i have no idea what to do with him... I dunno if he can still eat, he hasn't taken the second piece of worm i offered... so what can I do? Is this one of those things that can work themselves out? I sure hope so becuz I don't wanna take the 3 dollar newt to the 300 dollar vet.

House Gecko Tail Loss

Will a house gecko's tail grow back?
