So I just recently got a fire bellied newt and his tail appears to be falling off! It started as a tiny "nick" on his tail and over the past 2 weeks or so it's gotten worse and now it's about to fall off! Any thoughts on what's happening? Is this normal? It doesn't appear to be "affecting" his mood. His eyes look clear, he's eating normally and still active. I'm concerned however!
